The luxury class SUV "CrossBlue" from Volkswagen with 6 seats and 4 wheel drive has been designed and developed primarily for the US market. It had its first public apperance during the Detroit Motorshow 2013, which traditionally opens the new annual season for all international car brands.

Together with the Berlin Agency United Visions, OMSTUDIOS has won the pitch with an unusal and appealing concept for a fully CG animated film.

The film features the 3D animated car driving through a fancy graphical urban and country environment to demonstrate the allround ambitions of the SUV and its particular attitude for young and urban families.

Volkswagen put a strong focus on the interieur design of the CrossBlue with its luxury materials and a revolutionary interactive dashboard interface. We took up the challenge and created high detailed photorealistic 3D interieur shots.

For the World Premiere of Porsches highly anticipated high performance Turismo, OMSTUDIOS was commissioned by United Visions to do the post production of the hidden beauty, highlight film. Director Markus Roche asked us not only to remove all unwanted studio elements from the frame but to also to switch on the lights of the car in post production, a very demanding task as they where most often barely visible and at the same time the most important design elements on this particular model. We finished the shot in 50p, double the standard frame rate to ensure a smooth playback on the big screen in Paris.

The task was to create an appealing imageclip for the new Cayenne Diesel with just still images as the basis. We camera projected the images on 3d geometry supplied by Porsche and made 3d camera moves as if we would have a real camera. We even added digital leaves into one shot to give it a more dynamic feeling.

For the Asian World Premiere of the new Skoda Rapid, OMTUDIOS did the shooting, editing, VFX and Post Production of the film.
Director Matthias Bernd wanted the car to be presented in warm, friendly colors, appealing to families and couples alike. We added warm sunny lens flares, retouched many shots and added digital balloons at the end of the movie, forming the shape of a heart.

We created this film to introduce the Cross Coupé to the Asian market during the Tokyo Motor Show 2011. We were able to film a tricky aerial shot indoors by using the OMCOPTER, which enhanced the general lightweight atmosphere desired by the director. The editing, grading, as well as the retouching and vfx were all done inhouse.
